Steph Curry is the greatest shooter in the history of the game. Throughout his career, Curry has made it a habit to make the impossible look ordinary.
Curry is well on track to surpass Ray Allen for the most threes ever made in the history of the NBA. Despite breaking many records this year, Curry fell short of one record set by a legend.
Steph Curry fails to make MJ’s record
That said, Curry has actually won titles, and Chamberlain's time with the Warriors is tainted by the fact that the team wasn't all that great: zero 50-win seasons and one Finals appearance, a 4-1.
In the first 25 games of the NBA season, Steph Curry had 741 points. Only Michael Jordan has more points than Steph Curry for a player above the age of 32 in the NBA.

- Curry chipped in with 28 points, while Lillard had 32. James spent most of the night admiring his drafting skill from the bench. He played less than 13 minutes, scored just four points, and didn’t return to the court in the second half.
- Curry helped the Warriors return to the NBA Finals in 2017, 2018 and 2019, winning back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018, before being defeated by the Toronto Raptors in 2019. During the 2012–13 season, Curry set the NBA record for three-pointers made in a regular season, with 272. He surpassed that record in 2015 with 286, and again in 2016.
- Stephen Curry is one of the greatest players to ever grace an NBA hardwood — a once-in-a-generation force that has not only won personal accolades but also led his team to three titles.
Surely, surpassing Michael Jordan would’ve been a real feather in the cap of Steph Curry. However, given the success Curry has enjoyed over the course of his career, he will be happy to be mentioned in the same breath as ‘His Airness’.
Curry entered the NBA as the 7th pick in the 2009 NBA draft. Since then, he has gone on to break records, win titles, and change the face of the NBA.
Thanks to Curry and other mercurial shooters like Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Damian Lillard, the NBA has now become more focused on 3-point shooting. Curry revolutionized the nature of the sport.
Steph Curry is the only unanimous MVP in the history of the NBA. As the Warriors went on a historic 73-9 run in the 2015-16 NBA season, Curry was named the MVP by all voters. In addition to this, Curry is a three-time NBA champion, two-time MVP, six-time All-Star, three-time All-NBA first team, and the NBA scoring champion in 2016.

Steph going at it alone this year
This year, Steph Curry has been fantastic. He is playing at an MVP level and has been the key offensive option for the Golden State Warriors.
Who Has Most Scoring Titles In Nba History
However, his performances have not been enough to keep the Warriors successful. The loss of Klay Thompson in pre-season was huge, and the Warriors will now focus on getting a playoff spot this season thanks to Curry’s performances.
Can Curry lead the Warriors to the Playoffs this season? He desperately needs his teammates to step up. While Curry is an offensive juggernaut, he cannot be the only attacking threat on the team.
But if they can help him, the Warriors are a threat to any team, having shown that against the Clippers and the Lakers.
